Descaling (Picoting)

Descaling sewer lines is a very effective method to rehabilitate your old clogged and congested sewer lines. Scale will build up over the years and slowly reduce the size of your sewer pipe and create a Velcro like roughness to the bottom of the pipe that will catch debris allowing the water to escape. When this happens the debris will stop in the line before reaching the city line creating a pileup effect that will cause recurring backups in the sewer line. When your sewer lines have reached this state there really is only 3 options that can fix the issue. Descaling, Descaling and Lining or a full sewer re-pipe. While descaling is the most cost-effective solution it is still a major operation on the sewer lines. The sewer line will need to be dug up, most of the time this is done in the front yard so Sewer clean outs can be added upon completion. Descaling the sewer line is next and once that is completed Hydro Jetting all the scale debris out of the sewer line to complete this step. After that is completed performing a final camera inspection to show how well the process went is needed. Then installing the Sewer clean outs, testing, and backfilling.
